MAT Logical Reasoning Mock Tests

MAT logical reasoning draws on classic reasoning families. Candidates who have practised them recognise each in seconds.

Recurring families

You will meet number and letter series, coding-decoding, blood relations, direction sense, ranking and arrangement questions, and syllogisms. They vary little from year to year, which makes this a high-return section for steady practice.

Practice plan

  • Spend a week on each family, then mix them in timed sets
  • Keep a short rulebook of patterns (for example common series types)
  • Time every set to build a per-question average

In the mock test

Reasoning is where many candidates can finish early, so use it to bank minutes for sections that take longer. If your accuracy drops when you go fast, slow down slightly: a wrong answer costs more than a skipped one. The same logic is explained in our time management guide.
