Blood Relations Practice Questions With Answers

Blood relation questions become easy once you draw the family tree. The trap is trying to solve them in your head.

Draw it

Use symbols such as + for male and − for female, a horizontal line for siblings and a vertical line for parent and child. Place the person named in the question as the anchor and add relations step by step.

Worked example

Pointing to a man, a woman says, "His mother is my mother's only daughter." The woman's mother's only daughter is the woman herself, so she is the man's mother.

Watch for these traps

  • Gender-neutral words like "cousin", "sibling" or "child"
  • Relations that skip generations, such as "maternal uncle's son"

Practise alongside direction sense and see how the topic appears in MAT logical reasoning and banking reasoning.
