How to Use Mock Tests for CUET Preparation

06 Oct 2026 · TestMint Team

CUET is unusual in asking you to prepare several papers at once. That makes mock tests valuable twice: for each paper and for the balance between them.

Start with an accuracy table

After your first round of tests, make a simple table: paper, accuracy, time per question. The paper with the lowest accuracy and the highest marks is where your next week should go. This is more reliable than allocating study time by instinct.

Domain subjects: chapter by chapter

For domain subjects, test each chapter right after you revise it, then retest after two weeks. Because questions track the textbook closely, retention matters more than clever tactics.

Language and General Test

For language, build a daily habit of one passage. For the General Test, mix a few GK, reasoning and numerical questions in each weekly block.

Rehearse the screen

Take some tests on a laptop with a similar screen size to the exam centre, and practise flagging and navigating questions. Small habits like this save minutes on the day. Read the CUET pattern overview and the CUET strategy guide, then visit the CUET mock tests.
