What the section checks
CUET language papers focus on reading comprehension, vocabulary, grammar and sometimes literary aptitude, depending on the language chosen. The passages are generally short to medium length, so reading accuracy and speed both matter.
Prepare efficiently
- Read short passages daily and write a one-line summary of each
- Learn grammar rules through error-focused practice
- Take timed tests on screen to match the exam format
Using mock tests
Because CUET is computer-based, practise navigating between questions, flagging items and managing the on-screen timer. After each test, analyse comprehension errors separately from grammar errors. If you are targeting several domain subjects too, plan your week so that language practice stays regular. The overall approach is in the CUET preparation strategy.
