A common structure
Banking recruitment exams are usually conducted in stages: a preliminary test followed by a main examination, and sometimes an interview. Prelims commonly test English, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning with sectional time limits. Mains stages add sections such as general or financial awareness and computer knowledge, and may include descriptive writing.
Marking
Negative marking is generally applied to incorrect answers, but the fraction and the number of questions differ by exam and year. Always check the official notification for the post you are applying for.
Building mock tests around it
- Use sectional timers to match the exam
- Add a separate awareness test for the mains stage
- Practise on screen to get used to the online format
