A sample question from this test
A train 105 m long running at 54 km/h crosses a platform 150 m long. How many seconds does it take?
- 16
- 17
- 22
- 34
Answer: B. 17. Distance = 105 + 150 = 255 m. Speed = 15 m/s. Time = 255 ÷ 15 = 17 seconds.
How to approach this test
Convert km/h to m/s with 5/18, add the train length to the platform or other train when crossing, and add speeds only when trains run in opposite directions.
This set mixes straightforward questions with a few that need an extra step, so it works well as a checkpoint once the basics are comfortable. At 10 questions in 15 minutes, you have about 90 seconds per question on average. After you submit, review every wrong or guessed answer using the explanations.
