A sample question from this test
A train 595 m long running at 126 km/h crosses a platform 315 m long. How many seconds does it take?
- 16
- 26
- 27
- 36
Answer: B. 26. Distance = 595 + 315 = 910 m. Speed = 35 m/s. Time = 910 ÷ 35 = 26 seconds.
How to approach this test
Convert km/h to m/s with 5/18, add the train length to the platform or other train when crossing, and add speeds only when trains run in opposite directions.
This set leans easy, so use it to confirm that you can solve the basic pattern accurately before you move to harder sets. At 50 questions in 75 minutes, you have about 90 seconds per question on average. After you submit, review every wrong or guessed answer using the explanations.
