The NEET Physics profile
NEET Physics questions are typically shorter and more direct than those in engineering entrance exams, but the section is large enough that a weak chapter shows up in the final score. Many students come from a biology background and treat Physics as a subject to survive rather than to score in. A structured plan of chapter tests turns that around.
Where to focus
- Mechanics and properties of matter, which carry a large share of questions
- Current electricity and electromagnetism
- Optics, modern physics and semiconductor devices, often formula-driven and quick
Test routine for Physics
Take a 45-question Physics block under a strict clock after finishing each major unit. Check not only the score but the questions you left blank, since blanks usually signal a missing formula or a fear of the topic. Because every wrong answer costs marks in NEET, learn to skip a question you cannot start; the reasoning is set out in our guide to handling negative marking.
Combine this with Chemistry and Biology practice, and read the NEET preparation strategy to place it in your weekly schedule.
