Reading comes first
Every CLAT section uses passages, so reading speed influences everything. Begin with English Language practice to build speed, then extend to legal and logical reasoning.
Section routine
- Legal Reasoning: apply the principle in the passage, not outside knowledge
- Logical Reasoning: analyse arguments and assumptions
- Current Affairs and GK: a daily news habit and weekly quizzes
- Quantitative Techniques: short topic sets to secure the marks
Full mocks
Take a full two-hour paper weekly in the last few months. Because the time is tight, decide in advance the order of sections. Review passages where you ran slowly and passages where you misread the question. The method is further described in our CLAT mock-test guide.
