How to Revise After a Mock Test: A 48-Hour Plan
06 Oct 2026 · TestMint Team
Taking a mock test is only half the work. Without a revision plan, the lessons fade within days. This 48-hour structure keeps them.
Hour 0 to 2: review while it is fresh
Go through every question you got wrong or guessed. For each, write the cause (concept, formula, calculation, misread or time) and the fix in one line. Do not skip the questions you got right by luck.
Day 1: repair the top two topics
Pick the two topics that cost the most marks and revise them from your notes. Then solve 10 to 15 fresh questions on each, ideally from a topic set such as percentage or direction sense.
Day 2: retest in small
Do a 20-minute mini-test on the same topics. If you score well, you have closed the gap; if not, you know to repeat the cycle.
A week later
Revisit your one-line fixes. Spaced exposure turns them into memory, which is the idea explained in our spaced repetition guide. For the logging format, use the error log method. Then take another mock from our practice tests to check progress.
