Online Test Maker for Teachers & Educators

Last reviewed 7 October 2026

This page is a tour of the test maker itself: what each setting does and when to change it. If you want the full workflow, read the create-a-test guide.

What the test maker is

The TestMint test maker lets an approved institute or educator build a timed, exam-style test and deliver it to students on any device. Scoring, timing and results are handled for you, so there is no manual marking. This page lists the controls and when to use them; for a start-to-finish walk-through see create a mock test online.

Question types

  • Single choice: one correct option; the standard objective question.
  • Multiple select: more than one correct option, useful for exams that use this format.
  • True or false: quick concept checks and warm-ups.
  • Numerical: the student types a number; you can set a tolerance so that sensible rounding is accepted.

Questions can include images and rich formatting, and carry their own marks and negative marks, so a test can mix one-mark and two-mark questions.
