A sample question from this test

a school bag marked at ₹3,900 is sold after successive discounts of 40% and 10%. What is the selling price (in ₹)?

  1. 2,527.20
  2. 2,106
  3. 2,316.60
  4. 1,895.40

Answer: B. 2,106. Selling price = 3900 × 0.6 × 0.9 = ₹2,106.00.

How to approach this test

Geometry: Draw the figure, label what is given and use the standard results: angles of a triangle add to 180°, exterior angle equals the sum of the opposite interior angles, and Pythagoras for right triangles.

Discount and Marked Price: Successive discounts multiply (they do not add): 20% then 10% is 0.8 × 0.9 = 0.72, a single discount of 28%.

Linear and Quadratic Equations: Collect the unknown on one side, do the same operation to both sides, and substitute your answer back to check it.

Number System: Use remainders and cycles: unit digits of powers repeat in short cycles, and divisibility rules save long division.

This set mixes straightforward questions with a few that need an extra step, so it works well as a checkpoint once the basics are comfortable. At 25 questions in 35 minutes, you have about 84 seconds per question on average. After you submit, review every wrong or guessed answer using the explanations.
